The Financial Supervisory Service, which is investigating the alleged 'fraudulent listing' of semiconductor design company Fado [440110], conducted a second search and seizure of SK Hynix [000660].
According to the financial sector on the 4th, the Financial Supervisory Service's Capital Market Special Judicial Police searched and seized the SK Hynix office in Jung-gu, Seoul.
Previously, the special envoy had searched and seized the SK Hynix headquarters in April.
SK Hynix is Fado's largest sales source, and the Financial Supervisory Service is known to have secured additional data to compare Fado's internal data with SK Hynix's data in relation to Fado's sales estimates.
Fado entered the KOSDAQ market with a valuation of more than 1 trillion won at the time of listing in August last year, but the stock price subsequently announced a sharp drop in performance, sparking controversy over the company's 'blown listing'.
The Financial Supervisory Service is continuing to investigate SK Hynix following NH Investment & Securities [005940], Korea Investment & Securities, and Korea Exchange, which are the underwriters related to Fado's listing.
